Overview - UNITED STATES DATES 1 BINDER
This unique resource, by Daniel Barnekow, allows students to create a large-scale
timeline of United States history on the classroom wall. Individual activity
sheets help students learn about major people, places, and events in United
States History. Completed activity sheets become pieces of the classroom timeline.
As students' knowledge of history grows, so does the classroom timeline. United
States Dates includes labels and graphics that link activity sheets so
that students can easily see how historical events relate to each other. The
timeline makes history become an easy-to-follow story. Student-created timelines
depict an event, when it happened, and why it happened while emphasizing critical
thinking skills, including sequence, main idea and details, and cause-and-effect
relationships.
HOW IT WORKS
Each binder is divided into eight units with lesson plans, teacher notes, and
reproducible activity sheets. Completed activity sheets are posted, along with
the labels and arrow graphics. Includes visuals for cause-and-effect, main idea
